1.1.23. The transmission with manual switching

GENERAL INFORMATION

The scheme of gear shifting is standard, as shown above.

Press a coupling pedal completely down during switching, and then slowly release it. You do not hold a leg on a pedal during driving – it can result in malfunction of coupling. Also do not use coupling for deduction of the car at a stop on rise – use for this purpose the parking brake.

Too bystry switching to the raising or lowering transfer will lead to an overload of the engine and a possible detonation. Continuous increase in turns of the engine to the maximum speed on each transfer will cause excessive wear of the engine and big fuel consumption.

The most admissible speeds

For entrance on the freeway or overtaking of slowly driving transport the maximum acceleration can be required. Surely observe the following most admissible speeds for each transfer:

Transfer
Speed, km/h
1
57
2
91
3
141
4
182

If it is difficult to include a backing, then establish transmission in neutral situation, release coupling, and then try again.

At towage of the trailer for preservation of efficiency of braking by the engine do not include the fifth transfer.
