GENERAL INFORMATION

Elements of the air conditioning system

1. The switch of the cooling N2 radiator fan (the 6-cylinder engine)
2. N1 relay block
Coupling relay (MG CLT marking)
Heater relay (HTR marking)
The relay of the second cooling fan (marking of FAN No. 2)
The relay of the third cooling fan (marking of FAN No. 3)
3. N2 relay block
Main relay of the engine (ENGINE MAIN marking)
The relay of the first cooling fan (marking of FAN No. 1)

4. Refrigerator
5. The switch of the cooling fan (the 4-cylinder engine)
6. Store
7. Pressure sensor
8. Refrigerator fan
9. Compressor

Within maintenance it is necessary to carry out the following inspections regularly:

  – check a condition of a driving compressor belt. If necessary replace a belt;
  – check a tension of a belt and if necessary adjust it;
  – examine system hoses on existence of cracks, swellings, and the ground places. If necessary replace hoses;
  – examine edges of the refrigerator and clean the dirt which got stuck in them;
  – check, coolant pressure.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Warm the engine up to the working temperature.
2. Install the handle of adjustment of temperature in the provision of cold air. Include the maximum speed of the delivery fan.
3. After air conditioning system reaches working temperature, touch two tubes connected to the refrigerator.
4. Thinner tube has to be cold, and thicker tube has to be even colder (about -16 °C or –12 °C).
If the thick tube is much warmer, than thin, the system should be loaded with coolant in addition. Insert the thermometer into the center of an air vent. Air temperature, arriving from an opening has to be 3-5 °C lower, than air temperature. If it not so, system it is necessary to load in addition with coolant, for this purpose address the expert.

COOLANT

Set for recharge of the R-134a systems

For recharge of the air conditioning system coolant, uses R-134a coolant. Any motorist can conduct recharge of air conditioning system independently. For this purpose it is necessary to acquire special set for recharge with the appendix of instructions for its use.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Connect a hose to the valve located on a coolant tube (it is specified by an arrow).
2. Close contacts 1 and 4 sensors of pressure of air conditioning system by means of a crossing point (it is specified by an arrow) that the compressor continued to work when you load system with coolant.

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM SMELLS

For removal of the smells arising in the air conditioning system usually use special disinfectants. And, though, the best decision would be to address in a specialized workshop, you can process air conditioning system elements.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Remove the resistor of the delivery fan and process disinfecting structure the evaporator.
