The warning service indicators and zummerny signals
(a) The warning light signal of the brake system
This light signal has the following functions:
– a reminder on the switched-on parking brake. In case of this light signal be convinced that the parking brake is completely released. The light signal has to disappear;
– warning of the low level of brake fluid.
In case of this light signal during driving reduce speed and move down after the journey. Then carefully stop the car. Perhaps, there is a malfunction in the brake system. Check liquid level in the looked-through tank.
To be convinced that the cause of the warning light signal consists not in the parking brake, check that the parking brake was completely released.
If the level of brake fluid low, follows in the safe place to check brakes by start-off from the place and a stop. If brakes function adequately, carefully go to the dealer of Toyota or to a workshop for repair. If brakes do not work, the car should be towed off in repair shop.
(b) The warning light signal of an accumulator dischargeThis light signal warns that the accumulator is discharged. If the signal arises during driving, a malfunction somewhere in system of charging. However ignition of the engine will continue to work until the accumulator is discharged. Switch off the air conditioner, the fan, the radio receiver, etc. and go to the dealer of Toyota or to repair shop.
(c) the Warning light signal of pressure drop in the lubrication system
This light signal warns that oil pressure in the engine too low. If the signal blinks or is highlighted during driving, move down after the journey to the safe place and immediately stop the engine. Ask for the help the dealer of Toyota or in repair shop.
The light signal can begin to blink if the engine idles or at a stop with sharp braking. The reasons for concern will not be if the light signal goes out at easy acceleration of the engine.
The light signal can appear when oil level extremely low. But as the signal is not intended for informing on the low level of oil, it is necessary to check periodically oil level by means of the bayonet index of level.
(d) The warning light signal of the low level of engine oilThis indicator specifies that the level of engine oil too low. Add oil as soon as possible.
During driving on bumpy roads or steep slopes, and also on zigzag roads the car can strongly be shaken, as a result of fluctuation of oil this indicator can be highlighted.
(e) The warning light signal of the low level of fuel
This light signal appears when the level of fuel approaches zero. Fill a tank as soon as possible. On slopes or zigzag roads because of fluctuations of fuel in a tank the warning light signal of the low level of fuel can be highlighted earlier, than usually.
(f) Indicator bulb of malfunction
This bulb warns that there is a malfunction in electric system of the engine. If it is highlighted during driving, then it is necessary to check / repair at the dealer of Toyota as soon as possible.
(g) The warning light signal of "ABS"
This indicator warns that there is a problem somewhere in system of anti-blocking of the brake system. If this indicator is highlighted during driving, address as soon as possible the dealer of Toyota for check. This indicator is highlighted if the ignition key is installed in the provision of "ON". Approximately in 3 seconds the indicator will go out. If there was a warning light signal of "ABS" (and the warning light signal of malfunction of the brake system is not highlighted), the brake system works as usual, however the system of anti-blocking of a brake is not able to help brake function therefore blocking of wheels is possible during unexpected braking or braking on the slippery road.
(h) The warning light signal of SRS
This indicator will be highlighted when the ignition key is turned in the provision of "ON" or "ACC". Approximately in 6 seconds the indicator will go out. It means that the system of a pneumopillow and devices of retraction of forward seat belts works normally.
The system of the warning light signals controls sensors of the forward airbag, the device of sensors of the airbag, the device of retraction of seat belts, delivery devices of airbags, the warning light indicators, an internal electrical wiring, power supplies.
If there is one of the following phenomena, it means malfunction somewhere in the components controlled by system of the warning light signals. Address as soon as possible the dealer of Toyota for check of the car.
The indicator is not highlighted when the key is turned in the provision of "ACC" or "ON".
During management it is highlighted or blinks.
(i) The warning light signal of open doorsThis light signal will not disappear, so far all side doors and a back door will not be completely closed.
(j) The warning light signal of malfunction of a back lamp
If the light indicator is highlighted at the included headlights (at the first or second position of the switch), it means that fused one or more bulbs of back lamps.
(k) A sound signal of a reminder on not taken out key
This sound signal reminds that it is necessary to take a key if you open the driver's door when the ignition key is in the provision of "ACC" or "LOCK".
(l) A sound signal of a reminder on the turned-on light
This sound signal will sound in case the switch of headlights is left in the included situation, and the door of the driver will be open at the taken key from the ignition switch.
The warning service indicators about need of check (except the warning light signal of the low level of fuel)
Involve the parking brake.
Open one of doors. There has to be a warning light signal of an open door.
Close a door. The warning light signal of an open door has to go out.
Turn the ignition key in the provision of "ACC". The warning light signal of SRS has to join. It will be switched off approximately in 6 seconds.
Turn the ignition key in the provision of "ON", but do not start the engine. All service warning indicators, except the warning light signal of an open door and the warning light signal of SRS, have to be switched on. The warning light signal of "ABS" will be switched off in several seconds.
If any of the service warning indicators or zummerny signals does not function as it is described above, then either the bulb fused, or repair of an electric chain is required. Check them as soon as possible at the dealer of Toyota.
