GENERAL INFORMATION

Use of the wrong cooling liquids can damage the engine cooling system. Cooling liquid has to be ethylene - the glycoleft type for appropriate protection of aluminum components against corrosion. Use Toyota Long Life Coolant cooling liquid or equivalent.

This type of cooling liquid will also interfere with corrosion. Other additional inhibitors or additives are not required and are not recommended. Read information on a container of cooling liquid on prevention of freezing. Follow instructions of the manufacturer in what proportions to mix with the clear water (which is preferably demineralized or distilled).

It is recommended to use in the Toyota car 50% solution for prevention of freezing at a temperature approximately to -35 °C. When weather extremely cold, for ensuring protection at a temperature approximately to -50 °C is recommended to use 60% solution. Do not use more than 70% solution for the best performance data of cooling liquid.
