Tires on the Toyota car have the built-in indicators of wear of a protector to help to learn when replacement of tires is required. If depth of a protector wears out to 1,6 mm or less, indicators will be visible. If you find indicators in two or more adjacent flutes, the tire has to be replaced. The protector is lower, the danger of a drift is more.
Efficiency of tires for the movement on snow it is lost if the protector wears out lower than 4 mm.
Regularly check tires for damage, such as, cuts, peelings and cracks. If any damage is revealed, contact technicians and repair or replace the tire.
Even if damage does not look serious, it has to be checked by the qualified technician. Premeasures which got in the tire can become the reason of internal damage.
Any tires which are more than six years old have to be checked by the qualified technician even if no damages are visible.
Tires collapse over time even if they were never used or used seldom. It belongs also to the spare tire and tires stored for future use.
Replacement of tiresWhen replacing the tire use only the same size and a design, as well as at originally installed tire, and with the same or bigger permissible load.
Use of any other size or type of the tire can seriously influence management, driving, indications of the speedometer/odometer, a road gleam and an interval between tires and a body or use of chains of antisliding.
Prevention
Do not use the tires which were in the use. Use of tires which preliminary destiny is unknown is dangerous.
It is recommended that all four tires – or at least both forward and back – were replaced at the same time in a set.
If the tire was replaced, balancing of wheels has to be always executed.
Unbalanced wheels can influence driving and service life of tires. Wheels can debalance at constant use and, therefore, have to be balanced from time to time.
When replacing tubeless tires the air gate also has to be replaced by new.
