7.2.20. System of catching of vapors of gasoline

GENERAL INFORMATION

System of catching of vapors of gasoline (4-cylinder engine)

1. Spool-type valve
2. The operating valve
3. Recirculation valve
4. Converter
5. The union for service of system of absorption of vapors of gasoline
6, 19, 20. Pneumatic distributor
7. Stopper
8. Hose
9. Ventilating hose
10. Pipe of a jellied mouth
11. Line of a purge
12. Inlet line
13. Tank
14. Gate-type valve
15. Ventilating line
16. Pressure sensor
17. Valve of limit of fuel
18. A tank with an absorber

System of catching of vapors of gasoline (6-cylinder engine)

1, 2, 7, 9. Pneumatic distributor
3, 5. Buffer camera
4. Recirculation valve
6. The union for service of system of absorption of vapors of gasoline
8. A tank with an absorber
10. Line of vapors of gasoline
11. Stopper
12. Ventilating hose
13. Pipe of a jellied mouth
14. Line of a purge
15. Inlet line
16. Otsechny valve
17. Tank
18. Valve of limit of fuel
19. Ventilating line
20. Pressure sensor

The system is intended for absorption of vapors of fuel and their reburning in the combustion chamber. The tank arrangement with an absorber of this system depends on model of the car and year of release.

Check

Check of a tank (for the car of 1997 and the car with the V6 1998 engine of)

1–4. A-D union
5. Air supply

At air supply in the union for a tank purge air has to come out via the union B, the union C and D have to be muffled.

Check of a tank (for the car of 1998 with the 4-cylinder engine and all cars of 1999)

1. A hose for gasoline vapors
2. Cap
3. Purge hose
4. To disconnect
5. Air supply

At air supply in the union for a tank purge air has to come out through a hose for gasoline vapors.

Check of the sensor of pressure of vapors of fuel upon the car of 1998 with the 4-cylinder engine

1. Voltmeter
2. To disconnect
3. Sensor (type A)
4. Sensor (type B)
5. A tank with an absorber

Arrangement of the sensor of pressure of vapors of fuel on early models

1. Voltmeter
2. To disconnect

Tank with an absorber and adjacent details (the car of 1997)

1. Branch pipe of an air hose
2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12. Hose
3, 10. Pneumatic distributor sockets

4. Air temperature sensor socket
6. Tank
11. Cover of the air filter

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a condition of hoses and tubes of system. Remove and check a tank, having created small pressure on the union for a purge (see rice. Check of a tank (for the car of 1997 and the car with the V6 1998 engine of) and rice. Check of a tank (for the car of 1998 with the 4-cylinder engine and all cars of 1999)).
2. Check the sensor of pressure of vapors (see rice. Check of the sensor of pressure of vapors of fuel upon the car of 1998 with the 4-cylinder engine).
The sensor is mounted either on a tank, or in a motor compartment, near the air filter. Tension on sensor socket conclusions at the included ignition has to be 4,5–5,5 Century. During creation of depression in the sensor tension has to decrease to 2 V, and when giving pressure upon the sensor tension has to increase a little (for this check the socket should be attached to the sensor and to connect (+) – the device probe to VC conclusion back).
3. Check resistance of coils of all pneumatic distributors, including pressure sensor distributor which is mounted near a tank (see rice. A tank with an absorber and adjacent details (the car of 1997). Resistance has to be 33–39 Ohms.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For removal of a tank disconnect the battery from weight, designate and disconnect hoses from a tank, turn off bolts. On a part of cars the tank gets from below.
2. For removal of pneumatic distributors and the sensor of pressure at first remove a tank, and then remove each of these devices (on the V6 engine they are mounted under a cover of heads of cylinders)
