Prevention

Blocks of the parking brake change only in couple on an axis.


Check and replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a brake disk (see subsection 10.6.).
2. Check the residual thickness of frictional slips. Blocks are subject to replacement if material thickness less than 0,8 mm.
3. Remove a nave with bearings (see section 9.1.14.).
4. Clear brake details special structure.
5. Remove the pulling together spring of a back block of the parking brake from an axis and unhook a spring from a back block.
6. Remove the pulling together spring of a forward block of the parking brake from an axis and unhook a spring from a forward block.
7. Remove a clamping spring of a back block and get an axis.
8. Remove a strut.
9. Remove a clamping spring of a forward block and get an axis.
10. Remove the gap regulator between blocks and a drum of a disk (the pulling together spring is behind the regulator and in a picture it is not visible).
11. Get a cutting spring washer from an axis of the lever of the drive of a block of the parking brake on a back block and remove the lever.
12. Grease with a thin layer of refractory lubricant the rubbing brake board surface.
13. Dress a cable on the lever and record a spring cutting washer.
14. Dress the pulling together spring from a reverse side of a back block and from a reverse side of a forward block.
15. Install the regulator, having brought blocks to each other. The terminations of the regulator have to enter gearing with blocks.
16. Establish blocks, establish a strut and a spring. The bifurcate terminations of a strut have to come into grooves of blocks.
17. Establish a returnable spring of a lobby and a back block.
18. Establish a clamping spring of a back and forward block
19. As a result of the correct assembly of a detail settle down as in the drawing.
20. Establish a disk of a brake and fix, having screwed 3 nuts of a wheel.
21. Turn out a cap from a disk. Adjust blocks for what rotating a makhovichok of a hairpin of the regulator part blocks against the stop in a drum (the drum at the same time should not be rotated) and take away, having turned off a regulator makhovichok on 8 teeth.
22. Establish a support arm, tighten bolts with the set moment.
23. Establish a wheel.
24. On the cars equipped with the lever of the parking brake check number of clicks of the lever before full braking which has to be from 5 to 8. Otherwise adjust.
25. For extra earnings of blocks of the parking brake arrive as follows. On the cars equipped with the lever of the parking brake, moving with a speed of 50 km/h on the flat dry highway, include a brake, having made effort of 8 kgfs for the lever. On the car with a pedal of the parking brake, include a brake, having put 13 kgfs to effort to a pedal. Having passed about 0,5 km, release a pedal.
26. Repeat this procedure 2–3 times, allowing to cool down previously to blocks.
