GENERAL INFORMATION

Works should be performed together.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a cowl and cover with a blanket the next panels of a body.
2. Disconnect all wires which can interfere with removal of a cowl, and also screen wiper tubes.
	3. Outline contours of loops of a cowl.
	4. On the Avalon models remove brackets of clamps and disconnect cowl racks. The assistant at the same time holds a cowl.
5. Turn off fastening bolts to loops and with the assistant remove a cowl.
6. Installation is carried out upside-down. At installation combine the contours of loops put earlier.

Adjustment

Adjustment of provision of a cowl is provided with its movement in openings under bolts of fastening of loops after weakening of bolts and nuts.

Prevention

The cowl bolts established by the manufacturer are "aligning" and adjustment is not required. For adjustment of provision of a cowl concerning loops these bolts should be replaced standard with flat and spring washers.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Outline contours of loops.
2. Release bolts and move a cowl to the necessary situation a little. Tighten bolts and carefully close a cowl for adjustment check.
	3. If necessary adjust position of the lock of a cowl. To adjust position of the lock across or down release bolts of fastening of the lock (arrow), previously having outlined contours of bolts, and move a cowl in the necessary direction. After adjustment tighten bolts.
	4. In the last turn position of buffers that the cowl when closing appeared aflush with the next panels is regulated. Situation is regulated by rotation of these buffers located on a front partition (at rotation counterclockwise the cowl rises and vice versa).
5. Periodically grease the lock litoly.
