3.1.10. Camshafts and elevators of valves

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover a head of cylinders, the ignition distributor, a gas-distributing belt, an asterisk of the camshaft and the top section of a back cover of a gas-distributing belt.
2. Measure an axial gap of a shaft by means of the special device. If the gap exceeds admissible norm, replace a shaft and / or a head of cylinders. Fix the measuring device as it is specified in the drawing.

CAMSHAFT OF FINAL VALVES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn a shaft of inlet valves so that the pin which is in the basis of a shaft was turned on 10-45 ° from vertical position to the left. Now cams of a shaft of final valves will be located so that the shaft with smaller efforts will help to take off pressure of springs of valves.
2. Fix an auxiliary gear wheel of a shaft of final valves, having inserted a bolt (shooter) into its opening and into an opening of the main gear wheel.
3. Unscrew bolts of a cover of the back bearing of a shaft of final valves and uncover.
4. Weaken bolts of covers of N1, N2 and N4 in turn. Unscrew bolts and uncover.
5. Weaken N3 cover bolts, unscrew bolts and uncover.
6. Remove a shaft.

CAMSHAFT OF INLET VALVES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn a shaft of inlet valves so that the pin which is in the basis of a shaft was turned on 80–115 ° from vertical position to the left.
2. Unscrew bolts of a cover of the forward bearing of a shaft, remove a cover and an epiploon.
3. Weaken bolts of covers of N1, N3 and N4 in turn. Unscrew bolts and uncover.
4. Weaken N2 cover bolts, unscrew bolts and uncover.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Measure a trailer gap of a spring of a gear wheel of the camshaft. Compare the received result to technical requirements.
2. Erase oil from laying, number and take elevators of valves and laying. For extraction use a magnet.
3. Examine elevators on existence of wear and scratches.
4. Measure diameters of elevators and internal diameters of the nests corresponding to them. By subtraction of diameter of the elevator from diameter of a nest you receive the size of a lubricant gap. Compare sizes of gaps to technical characteristics. If gaps exceed admissible norm, the head and / or elevators need to be replaced.
5. Put elevators in a separate box, do not mix laying of elevators.
6. Examine cams and necks of bearings of camshafts on existence of wear and damages.
7. By means of a micrometer measure height of each cam. Compare the received sizes to technical characteristics, if necessary replace a shaft.
8. By means of a micrometer measure diameters of necks of bearings. Compare the received sizes to technical characteristics, if necessary replace a shaft.
9. Put a strip of the plastic measuring instrument on a bearing neck.
10. For determination of size of a lubricant gap measure width of the crushed plastic strip by means of a special scale. If necessary replace the camshaft and / or a head of cylinders.
11. Measure a gap between teeth of gear wheels of shaft by means of the special tool. Install the measuring device as shown in the drawing. Compare the received size to technical characteristics.

Installation

CAMSHAFT OF INLET VALVES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease with molybdenic lubricant cams and necks of bearings of a shaft, grease elevators and establish them on the places.
2. Establish a shaft in a head of cylinders. The pin in the basis of a shaft has to be turned on 80 ° from vertical position to the left.
3. Apply sealant on an outer edge of the joined surface of a cover of the first bearing (are marked with shading).
4. Establish covers of bearings as numbering. Shooters on covers have to be directed towards a gas-distributing belt.
5. Tighten bolts of covers till the required inhaling moment. Tighten bolts in the specified sequence on one fourth turns at one time.
6. Establish a new epiploon.

CAMSHAFT OF FINAL VALVES

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Collect a shaft gear wheel.
2. Grease with molybdenic lubricant cams and necks of bearings of a shaft, grease elevators and establish them on the places.
3. Turn a shaft of inlet valves so that the pin in its basis of a shaft was turned on 10 ° from vertical position to the left.
4. Combine gear wheels of shaft, using synchronizing tags (shooter). Establish a shaft of final valves. Rotate a shaft of inlet valves forward and back that the shaft of final valves sat down on the place.
5. Establish covers of bearings as numbering. Shooters on covers have to be directed towards a gas-distributing belt.
6. Tighten bolts of covers till the required inhaling moment. Tighten bolts in the specified sequence on one fourth turns at one time.
7. Get the bolt stopping gear wheels of a shaft of final valves.
8. Establish the remained details.
